Is Jason a hero

In the novel black swan green there's a 13 old boy name Jason Taylor and he gose through a lot of challenges in the novel.he was a hero in the novel because he stands up to his challenges and the bullies.he stands up to Ross Wilcox and his friends he is a hero for doing that because every one in the school never stands up to Ross and his friends but Jason have heart and shows bravery to Ross and let him know that he is not scared of him anymore,also when he snitch on Neal browse and got him suspended.people in the school starts to view Jason as a hero because he shows them how to stand up for them self and do what's right.
